The board has made a big change in Bihar Board 12th passing criteria. The board has introduced a new additional subject along with 5 mandatory subjects.
Sp, now all students have to appear for 6 subjects Hindi, English and 3 elective subjects ( Arts, commerce and math ) and one additional subject. The essential subjects include Hindi, English and 3 elective subjects from Arts, commerce and science.
The benefit of this additional subject is if the students do not score Bihar 12th board passing marks in any of the 5 main subjects and have scored BSEB 12th passing marks in additional subjects then additional subjects can be replaced with failed subjects. However, it is mandatory for all the students to get Bihar Board 12th passing marks 2025 in either Hindi or English.
