Brief Note of CUET 2025 Selection Process
Common University Entrance Test 2025 is the national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency once a year to provide admission for UG and PG courses in the desired college/University.
CUET Selection process 2025 involves three stages viz
- Written exam
- Counselling session
- Document verification

Written exam
The CUET Written examination is the first stage of the CUET Selection process 2025. The exam includes multiple-choice questions to be answered by the aspirants within the stipulated time. NTA has announced the marking scheme of the Written exam that includes 5 marks awarded for every correct answer and one mark deducted for every answer. Similarly, no mark is deducted for unattempted questions.
CUET Counselling Session
Candidates who clear the written exam and score minimum eligible marks, at the least, are capable of attending the CUET Counselling session. Based on the number of candidates eligible for counselling and the number of seats available in respective courses, the number of counselling rounds varies. After all the CUET Counselling 2025 rounds, a mop-up round is conducted to fill the left-out vacant seats from counselling.
Document Verification
Candidates who appeared for counselling sessions are allotted seats to the desired course in the colleges based on desire or availability of seats in the college. Once seat allotment is done, candidates should submit all the documents relevant to the CUET 2025 Admission and complete the CUET Selection process 2025.
It is necessary to submit all the documents, failing to submit any of the documents is not accepted. Candidates are given definite time to reach out to the respective college/ University where the seat allotment is done. Otherwise, candidates forfeit their chance of admission.
