Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has released the IEO Cutoff marks 2024-25 for level 1 exam. The cutoff marks of IEO are announced for Classes from Class 3 to 12. The students who achieve IEO cut Off marks will be selected in IEO results 2024 level 1 and eligible for the level 2 exam.
Level 1 IEO Cutoff 2024-25
SOF has announced Level 1 IEO cut off marks which include total marks. If any student secures more than the total marks of their respective school, he/she can proceed with the level 2 exam. If two or more students secure the same total marks, then section-wise marks (M1, M2, M3 and M4) are considered. Section weightage is given here:

Students can use the IEO answer key set A, B and C to calculate their probable marks and compare it with cutoff marks to estimate their chances of selection. Below, we have given class-wise IEO cutoff marks

Who are selected for IEO Level 2 exam?
The IEO cut off marks are determined to select class-wise top 5% of students who are qualifying for the second level. The second level SOF exam date for the IEO Olympiad is in February 2024.
Apart from this, if students fulfil the following criteria they are selected for second level SOF Olympiad exam:
- Class toppers of SOF IEO, where at least 10 students from a class appeared in the SOF IEO and score 50% or more marks
- Top 25 rank holders, class-wise, from each Zone.
- For classes 1 and 2, SOF IEO is a single-level exam. So the SOF does not announce any cutoff marks for Classes 1 and 2. Just selected students are notified about their selection through sofworld.org level 1 results 2024-25. The selected students are given SOF awards and prizes based on their rank at zonal, national and international rank.
Factors Affecting IEO Cutoff 2024-25
Several factors affect the IEO 2024 Cutoff, every year. They are:
- Number of candidates appeared for the exam
- Number of candidates cleared the exam
- Difficulty level of the IEO exam syllabus
- Number of seats available.
