Maharashtra FYJC Admission Dates 2026 Announced for Seat Surrender and CAP Round 1

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Maharashtra, has announced the First Year Junior College (FYJC) Class 11 admission dates for the 2026–27 academic year.

The department has announced the dates for both the Seat Surrender Facility and the CAP Round 1 Form Filling. Students need to fill out their form in two parts:

  • Part 1 (Personal & Academic Details)
  • Part 2 (College Preferences & Quota Options)

Seat Surrender Window Opened on May 19 at 7 pm

For students who have already secured a seat through the management, minority, or in-house quotas through Zero Round final merit list, but have changed their minds, they can surrender their seats from 7 pm to 11 pm on May 19, 2026.

If you wish to reject your current allotment and remain eligible to participate in the upcoming regular CAP rounds, you must log in and officially surrender your seat during this time.

CAP Round 1: New Registration & Preference Filling

After the release of the vacant seat matrix, the CAP Round 1 will formally open on May 21st. This is the main phase where Class 10 pass-outs will lock in their college preferences.

Round 1 Application Timeline

  • Commencement: 21st May 2026 at 8:00 AM
  • Deadline: 22nd May 2026 by 6:00 PM

This window allows new students to register, and existing applicants to fill out both Part 1 (Personal & Academic Details) and Part 2 (College Preferences & Quota Options).

Steps for CAP Round 1 Form Filling

  • New users need to sign up or existing users need to log in to the portal.
  • Students must select a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 junior colleges matching their stream (Science, Commerce, Arts) and medium.
  • If you qualify for any special reservations (sports, defence, orphan, etc.) or parallel quotas, ensure the relevant choices are updated.
  • Your form must be locked before 6:00 PM on May 22nd to be considered for the Round 1 allotment process.
