Visit the Official Website and Gather all the Documents

The candidates are required to visit the official website and log in to the ACT website. Candidates should keep all the documents and gather all the information needed at once as there will be only 40 minutes to complete this section. The candidates should use a desktop or laptop instead of a mobile phone.

Create an Account

If the candidate is a first-time user they are required to create an account that will enable them to register, send/view scores, etc. after creating an account the candidates should write their email id and password for further use.

Sign Up to Test

Now, the candidates are required to select the register to test option. This will take the candidates to the first page of the registration package. It is one of the most important stages as it requires information in order to track the scores and contact the candidates.

The Profile Selection Process

The ACT registration packet is divided into sections. The first few sections request information that will provide ACT with demographic information on test takers. It also focuses on providing personalized information and career suggestions. Except for the questions marked with a red asterisk, almost all of them are optional. This section includes questions about high school, career plans, educational plans, demographic background, and financial aid requirements

Choosing the Date and Time Option

After finishing the profile selection, the student will be directed to the test registration page.

Fill in the blanks in your registration form with your high school grades, classes, and GPA, and choose your test date with caution. Choose which colleges should receive your scores. It is free to send your scores to up to four colleges; make a list of colleges before beginning the registration process.

Choosing the Test Center

The ACT is not always offered at many high schools. Students can utilize the zip code to find alternative testing sites in the area if their school does not offer the exam on the requested day or if all available seats have been taken. When finished, you would be prompted to confirm and verify all of the information you had entered. The successful registration of a student may be hampered by typos or blank fields.

Payment of Registration Fees

You will want a credit card to pay for the test. A candidate must pay 52 USD for a writing test without a fee and 68 USD for a fee. The cost may increase due to extra score reports, late registration fees, and other expenses for extra services.

Uploading of the Photograph

Before printing the ticket, the photo must be uploaded because the test administrator wants it to confirm your identification. The photo must be sent by the deadline even though you are not asked to upload it during the registration procedure. Registration would be canceled if not completed. Avoid using caps, glasses, or other accessories that would obscure your identity. Use a simple background and turn to face the camera. The image must be in portrait mode and no more than 5MB.
