GRE Test Centre 2025 – Steps to Register 

In order to register and choose the GRE exam centre, the candidates are required to register themselves for the GRE exam. To register themselves the candidates are required to follow the following steps.

  • Visit the official website of GRE, ets.org.
  • Now, create/sign in to their ETS account. 
  • After signing in, the candidates are required to select the test date and the GRE test center 2025 which is the most convenient to them. 
  • In the end, the candidates are required to pay the GRE exam fees which are $213 and book their GRE exam slot. 

GRE Test Center 2025 – Changing of the test centers 

The procedure for switching GRE exam Centers will be covered in this section. Candidates should be aware that they can switch GRE test centers up to four days before the GRE 2025 exam date. For changing GRE Centers, candidates must pay a $50 GRE Test Center fee. In addition, candidates must pay $50 to switch a subject on the GRE Subject Test.

GRE Test Center 2025 Guidelines

The candidates are required to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the official authorities. In case of any discrepancy, the candidates won’t be able to give the exam. The important rules and regulations are.

  • Candidates would need to carry a recognized form of identification with them.
  • Candidates would have to sign rules and secrecy agreements.
  • Candidates could be required to input their information in a GRE Test Center record kept by the GRE exam centre.
  • Candidates would receive a scratch paper to use throughout the exam; however, it would need to be returned at the conclusion of the GRE.
  • The third segment of the GRE General Test would be followed by a ten-minute optional break for the candidate.
  • During the Quantitative Reasoning part only, the candidate would have access to an onscreen calculator. Personal calculators are not permitted inside the testing center for the GRE.
  • During the GRE exam, candidates are asked to raise their hands if they have any questions.
  • Depending on their performance on the test, candidates would have the option to report their GRE score or cancel them at the conclusion of the GRE General Test.
  • A candidate’s unofficial Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning results would be available for viewing. However, due to the scoring system, points for analytical writing will not be provided.
  • Candidates can choose up to four people to receive their GRE results. Candidates who wish to distribute their GRE results to other recipients must do so using their ETS GRE account.

  • Candidates are required to follow social distancing measures at all GRE exam centres.
  • Candidates must have their own masks; whether or not exam takers are allowed to wear masks depends on local regulations.
  • Test takers may put on gloves if they want to exercise caution.
  • For access to the GRE test center, some GRE exam centres require confirmation of immunization or a negative COVID-19 test within a certain time period prior to testing.     ETS has introduced the GRE at-home version of the test in light of the continuing pandemic. Candidates can choose the GRE at-home option here if they wish to take the exam from the comfort of their own homes and don’t want to go to the testing facility. Candidates might also choose to take the GRE at a nearby testing facility that is currently open.

  2. Is a GRE score of 300 a good one?
