ICSE 2025 Improvement exams gives the candidates a chance to improve their performance in any ONE subject/paper of their choice. Below, we have tabulated the subject-wise exam timings.

ICSE Improvement Exam 2025 Eligibility
All candidates who appeared for the ICSE Year 2025 Main Examination and are not eligible for ICSE Improvement Exam, can take the Improvement Examination. This will include candidates with any one of the following Results:
- PCA – Pas Certificate Awarded
- PCNA – Pass Certificate Not Awarded
- SPCA – Supplementary Pass Certificate Awarded
- SPCNA – Supplementary Pass Certificate Not Awarded
Note: The candidates whose results have been declared as ABSENT will not be eligible for the Improvement Examination.
Number of subjects permitted:
The candidates will be permitted to appear for only ONE subject. It may please be noted that the candidates who choose to appear for a subject which has more than one paper, (e.g., English / Science / History Civics & Geography) then the candidates, will have the option to choose any one or more papers of the said subject.

Papers to appear in:
The candidates appearing for a particular subject in the Improvement Examination are required to compulsorily appear for the Theory Paper of the subject.
Project work:
The marks of the ICSE project work are already awarded to the candidates in the main examination. These marks are carried forward. However, if the candidate was absent earlier either during the assessment of the Project Work of the subject, then, the candidate, in addition to taking the Theory Examination, is also permitted to submit the Project Work, which should then be assessed, and marks awarded and submitted.

How to Apply for ICSE Improvement Exams 2025?
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination prescribes simple procedures to apply for ICSE Improvement exams 2025. The exam body will activate the Improvement exam window to register and apply for the exams. Once the link is activated, students are allowed to apply for the ICSE Supplementary exams 2025.
Registration Fee For ICSE Improvement 2025 Exam
CISCE has set a unique registration fee for applying for the ICSE Supplementary exam 2025. As per rules of CISCE Improvement exams, the Registration fee is as follows:
- Registration Fee – Rs 500/- per subject/paper
- For two subjects like Physics & Chemistry – Rs 1000/- per student
Note: The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination does not charge any Local charges for the candidates appearing for the Improvement examination.

Students are suggested to follow the same syllabus that is covered for the Main examination to face the ICSE Improvement exams 2025.
ICSE Improvement Exam 2025 Result
Students who appeared for ICSE Improvement exam 2025 shall expect the result tentatively in the month of August 2025.
The higher of the two marks obtained by the candidate in the two examinations (i.e., the Main Examination vs. the Improvement Examination) will be considered as the final marks on their final ICSE marksheet 2025.
