ICSE Passing Marks 2021 – Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination determines the ICSE Passing rules for class 10 examinations. The minimum marks required to pass are called ICSE passing marks for Class 10.
From the year of 2018, the board has decreased the passing marks. Earlier, it was 35%. But now, it is 33% only. So, students securing at least 33% of total marks are declared as pass in ICSE exam. Minimum attendance required in ICSE
A candidate must have a minimum of 75% attendance of working days during each year of two year course. If a candidate has attendance below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible for examination.

ICSE Passing Criteria 2021
The pass certificate of the ICSE board will be awarded to the students who have appeared for six subjects in ICSE board examination and have achieved the Class 10 ICSE passing marks 2021 in at least 5 subjects. So, best 5 of 6 subjects apply in ICSE board. But, these 5 subjects must include ‘English’ subject.
Statement of marks is given to all students who appear for the examination.
ICSE Passing Marks 2021
The passing marks of ICSE board exam are 33% in each subject. Along with it, the aggregate marks of a student must be at least 33% to be passed.
ICSE board has 1 to 9 grades for evaluating a student.
- Grade 1 and 2 indicate very good.
- Grades 3, 4 and 5 indicate Pass with Credit.
- 6 and 7 grade indicate Pass.
- 8 and above grade means Failure.
Who can appear for ICSE compartment exams in Class 10?
Students who are unable to get a pass certificate and have got PCNA (Pass Certificate Not Awarded) in the current ICSE exam year are eligible to for Compartment board exams. However, he/she must be passed in English and three more subjects to be eligible.
A candidate is permitted to appear for compartment exam for one subject only.
