The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will release the FMGE 2024 exam pattern along with an information brochure tentatively in the third week of April. The FMGE Exam Pattern 2024 is provided to familiarise medical graduates with the types of questions, the structure of questions, marking scheme to make a solid exam strategy.
FMGE is conducted in a computer-based mode biannually in June and December. As per the FMGE exam pattern 2024 for June session, there will be 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) which will be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B.
The time duration of each part will be 150 minutes with a scheduled break in between the two parts. The exam will be conducted on a single day in two shifts ie., in the morning and evening shifts. FMGE exam pattern 2024 – Time allocation
Applicants will have to report at the ‘reporting counter’ at 7:00 AM for Part one and 12:00 PM for the second part of FMGE 2024. The gates at the examination center will close 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam as per the NBE guidelines. Candidates who fail to report at the examination center on time will not be allowed to appear for the FMGE examination.
