CTET Certificate Download Method; Validity of Certificate & Marksheet

CTET Certificate Validity: National Council of Teacher Education has extended the validity period of CTET Certificate. Now with this announcement, the new validity period of the CTET Certificate has been extended for lifetime. The decision to extend the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate was taken during the NCTE general body meeting and the announcement was made on June 3, 2021.

How to Download Central TET Certificate from DigiLocker?

After CTET result 2024 announcement, candidates can easily download their CTET Certificate from the DigiLocker Website and App. The CTET Marksheets/ Certificates before the year 2018, are not available on DigiLocker. Only the CTET certificates after the year 2018 are available on DigiLocker Platform.

Below, we have provided the step by step process to download the CTET Certificate/ marksheet. Follow the given steps to download the CTET Certificate: 

• First, visit the website – ‘digilocker.gov.in’ or install the DigiLocker app on your device.
• Login to your DigiLocker account by using the Registered Mobile No./ Aadhar No./ Username and password sent to you after signing up. If you are new on the platform, you can also sign up by using your Aadhar card No., Date of BIrth and Mobile No.
• After logging in, first you have to fetch your document. To fetch CTET Certificate, go to ‘Search Documents’ and search ‘Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate’.
• Click on ‘Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate – Central Board of Secondary Education’.
• Enter Name, Roll No. and Year. Click on ‘Submit’ button.
• Your document will be added in ‘Issued Document’.
• Download your CTET Certificate from ‘Issued Document’ and print a copy for future use.

CTET Certificate Validity

Earlier CTET Certificate Validity was only for 7 years, but currently as per the announcement of NCTE, CTET Certificate validity period is extended. 

Now, the CTET certificate is valid for the lifetime period of the candidates. So, each CTET qualified candidate will be able to apply for school teacher recruitment till their lifetime. 

In other words, passing the CTET exam once is enough for applying to the school teacher recruitment lifetime. So, candidates are now free from the tension of the CTET Certificate expiry date .

Note: Candidates Code scan the Encrypted QR Code from their CTET Marksheet/ Certificate and Verify it on the DigiLocker Website/ App.

What if you are unable to download a CTET Certificate from DigiLocker?

There might be some issue regarding download of CTET certificate from the DigiLocker Platform. Basically, Digilocker is a platform, which stores your documents. Sometimes candidates face some problem when downloading any of the documents from DigiLocker. If you are facing the same for CTET Certificate downloading, you can do this.

There is an option of asking help from the DigiLocker Team regarding any issue you are facing. Visit the Support Page of DigiLocker and enter your details, such as name, mobile number, email id and your query. After entering the details, click on the ‘submit’ button and wait for a reply from the DigiLocker Team.
