Central board of Secondary education (CBSE) releases the CBSE passing marks for class 10th and 12th board exam 2023 on their official website at cbseacademic.nic.in. Practice with CBSE OMR Sheet 2023 and boost preparation to pass the exams.

CBSE passing marks out of 40

CBSE Passing marks 2023 Class 10, 11 and 12 will be the same. The minimum pass marks out of 40 are 13 marks (33% of 40). So you need to achieve 13 pass marks out of 40.

It is mandatory for students to get at least passing marks in CBSE Class 12 and 10 practicals, theory and internal assessment separately.

For awarding the grades, the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order and will award grades as follows :

  • A-1 Top 1/8th of the passed candidates
  • A-2 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
  • B-1 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
  • B-2 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
  • C-1 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates

CBSE Passing Marks 2023 for Class 10th

  • All the other regional and foreign languages will be having the same pattern as English with 27 passing marks for theoretical examination and 7 marks for internal assessments.
