CTET Exam Pattern 2024 Overview

The CTET exam is divided into 2 levels of papers, i.e, paper I and paper II. Paper I is for the candidates who wish to teach classes 1-5 whereas paper II is for the candidates who wish to teach classes 6-8.

CTET Exam Pattern 2024

As per the CTET syllabus PDF 2024, the exam comprises two papers, i.e., the paper I and II. The CTET exam pattern for both papers is as follows.

CTET Paper I Exam Pattern

The CTET paper 1 exam is divided into five sections. A total of 2.5 hours will be given to the candidates to solve the paper. The exam pattern is as follows.

CTET Exam Pattern 2024 – Syllabus 

The CBSE outlines the CTET Syllabus 2024. The course curriculum has not changed over the years.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies are the five components that makeup Paper 1.
  • Paper 2 has four sections namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics &Science ORSocial Studies.
  • Paper 1 is for primary school teaching, therefore; the level of questions is related to classes 1- 5.
