What happens in NEET 2024 Counselling?
NEET 2024 counseling process has four stages. An aspirant has to go through all these stages to get enrolled in their preferred courses and colleges. Here are the 4 stages of the NEET 2024 counseling process.
Do Registration
Aspirants have to register with the MCC/state authority portal by filling up their personal information. Since the counseling is done online, registration needs to be done first.
Choice of colleges
After this, aspirants can fill up their preferred MBBS colleges in the counselling form. They can add as many colleges according to their priority. Aspirants have to pay counseling fees for choosing the colleges they like to get enrolled in. Once it’s done, aspirants can’t change the order of their preferences.
NEET 2024 Seat Allotment
After completing counseling session, The shortlisted candidates are allotted the seat according to their preferences. Yet, sometimes students aren’t able to get into the colleges of their choice. If that happens, aspirants can apply for other colleges in the next round of counseling.
Enrollment
After they are done with the seat allotment process, they have to pay the MBBS admission fees and reserve a seat for themselves. Once they paid the fees, they are enrolled in their preferred courses and colleges.

What after NEET 2024 – Download Answer Key
After completing the NEET exam, NTA releases the answer key for the same on their official website. Aspirants can not only estimate their score but can also challenge the answer key.
After correcting the answer key, the updated answer key can’t be challenged by the aspirants. Students can calculate their NEET score before the results get published.
What after NEET 2024 – Check Result
The NEET 2024 result will be released one month after the exam. After it’s released on the official website, students can check their results and analyze which college they can get a chance to enroll in.
The NEET 2024 scorecard will feature percentile scores, total marks obtained, Qualifying status, NEET cutoff 2024, NEET 204 AIR, and NEET AIR for 15% AIQ seats.

What is All India Quota Counseling?
15% of the total seats are filled by this AIQ counseling process which is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Except J&K, the government medical and dental colleges, deemed and central universities from all states offer seats through AIQ Counselling. The counseling will be done based on the state quota scheme only. Aspirants can apply through the official website of MCC or DGHS.
What is State Quota Counseling?
State Quota counseling is conducted by different state authorities in different states for 85% of seats in medical and dental colleges. Most of the colleges ask for the domicile of the particular state they are located in while the other colleges accept the students irrespective of their state of residence.
