MBBS/BDS Seats in India through NEET 2023 – Having a brief idea about the number of MBBS/BDS seats in India through NEET would help the aspirants to analyse the state-wise seats available in their state or in the nearby state or in the deemed university to take admission accordingly.

Around 91,927 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH seats and 603 BVSc & AH seats will be offered by 612 medical and 317 dental colleges. So the total seats in NEET 2023 are 1,72,948 seats. As per NEET 2023 reservation, the Total seats in NEET for general category are around 70,000 seats.

Students can get admission into government, private, and deemed/central institutes through NEET 2023 exam.

Increase in the number of seats for MBBS/BDS in India

With the growing demand of the healthcare system, the government of India has been trying to increase the number of colleges and the number of seats in India through the NEET exam every year. Their aim is to increase the number of doctors in the health care system and strengthen the healthcare sector of the country.

Government has also increased the total Govt MBBS seats in NEET 2023 and BDS seats for the economically weaker section of the society. According to the official website, more than 5170 seats have been added for the 2022-23 session.
