KCET Counselling Procedure 2024 : Step by Step

The KCET 2024 Counselling Process consists of four steps – Documents Verification & Registartion, Filling and Locking of Choice, Seat Allotment and Reporting. Below we have discussed each step in detail.

Step 1 – Documents Verification & Registration :  The first step of KCET Counselling Procedure 2024 is verification of documents and registration. The qualified candidates have to verify their documents at the alloted centres declared by the authority.

After completing the verification by the authority, an ID and password will be provided to the candidates for the next steps. The respective documents may be needed at the time of Document verification process – 

  • Print out of KCET Application Form
  • Print out of KCET Admit Card
  • Proof of KCET application fees payment
  • Marksheet of Class 10th
  • Marksheet of Class 12th/ 2nd PUC
  • Two recent photographs (Passport size)
  • Study Certificate Counter Signed by DDPI/BEO
  • Other required documents

Step 2 – Filling and Locking of Choice : After completion of the documents verification, the verified candidates are required to login to the official website with the required login credentials. After logged in, candidates have to fill and lock the choice of institutes they want to take admission.

It is recommended to the candidates to fill maximum number of choices they are allowed to fill, because the seat allotment will be done based on the Result, KCET option entry and choice filling by the candidates and the seat availability.

Step 3 – KCET Seat Allotment 2024 :  After completing step 1 & 2, the Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2024 mock seat allotment list on their official website. The seat allotment list will be prepared on the basis of performance of the candidates in the KCET exam, Choice filled by the candidates and seat availability in each institutes associated with KCET Exam 2024. Candidates will be allowed to check their status of allotment on the official website of KCET by entering the login credentials. Candidates can download their provisional seat allotment letter from the website.

Step 4 – Reporting to the Institutes : The selected candidates have to report to the respective institutes allotted by the authority to confirm their seats. It is suggested to the candidates to carry their documents and allotment letter at the reporting KCET centre. Selected candidates need to pay a fee for their admission at the time of reporting.

At the time of KCET Counselling 2024, candidates are required to carry some documents with themselves. The following documents candidates need to carry with themselves –

  • Print out copy of KCET 2024 Admit Card
