NEET 2024 number of attempts and Age Limit – The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET Eligibility Criteria 2024 which specifies the maximum number of attempts for NEET 2024 examination and what is the age limit for the students to appear in the examination.

All the candidates who fulfil the NEET 2024 age limit are eligible for NEET 2024 registration. Candidates can check the NEET Eligibility along with the Age Limit given below. Only the students fulfilling the criteria will be allowed to give the examination.

NEET 2024 Age Limit

The NEET UG officials have not set any upper age limit for the students who can appear for NEET examination. However, there is an age limit below which the candidate cannot give the paper. As per NEET Age Limit Criteria 2024, a student must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2024 in order to be eligible to write the examination.

That means, the candidate wishing to apply for NEET 2024 examination must be born on or before December 31, 2007.

Qualifying Exam 

Students applying must have passed or appearing in Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their main subjects. If they have any other set of subjects, then they will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

NEET 2024 Number of Attempts

As per the rules set by NEET officials, there was a limit for the maximum number of attempts a student can give for the NEET exam but after the amendment of 2018, this limit was removed by the officials. 

Now, a student can apply for the paper any number of times, given that they fulfil other eligibility criterias.

Qualifying Marks

Students must pass the NEET examination with the minimum qualifying marks set by NTA NEET officials. For Unreserved category, these qualifying marks are 50%, for SC/ST and OBC category, the minimum marks are 40% and for PWD students, it is 45%.
