JEE Main 2023 – The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2023 Exam. This exam will be a national level entrance exam which is going to be held with an aim to shortlist the candidates for B.E/B.Tech/B.Planning courses in the top colleges of India. Application Forms for JEE Main session 2 are invited from candidates who appeared session 1. JEE Main Application form submission begins by February 15, 2023 for session 2.

JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

It is important that the candidates must ensure that they are eligible before applying for the JEE Main 2023 exam.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidates should have passed class 12th in the year 2021 or 2022.
  • The candidates who will appear in the class 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2023 will also be able to apply for JEE Main 2023.
  • Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology as optional vocational subject.
  • For General Category, 75% of aggregate marks in all subjects class 12
  • For reserved category, 65% of aggregate marks in all subjects class 12

Attempt Limit

The National Testing Agency has not prescribed any age limit for taking 2023 JEE Main.

JEE Main 2023 Application Form

The application form will be available in online mode through their official website of JEE Main. The candidates have to provide all the necessary details such as educational and personal details in the application form. It will be mandatory that all the candidates have to enter an Aadhar number or Aadhar enrollment in the application form. The candidate will also need to upload the scanned copies of recent passport size photographs and signatures. After submitting the application form, the candidate should download the acknowledgement page and keep it for future reference.

JEE Main 2023 Application Form Fee

candidates are directed to pay relevant application fee to complete JEE Main 2023 application process. NTA has prescribed revised application fee as follows:

  • For Unreserved/Gen EWS/ OBC Male candidates – Rs.1000/-
  • For Unreserved/Gen EWS/OBC female candidates – Rs.800/-
  • For SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates – Rs. 500/-

JEE Main 2023 Admit Card

Candidates can download the JEE Main 2023 admit card from the official website of the board. Important and necessary details such as Candidate’s name, Date of birth, JEE Main 2023 test centre, City, Category, etc will be mentioned on the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid admit card. At the time of the examination, the candidates will also be required to carry one photo id proof with the admit card. 

JEE Main 2023 Mock Test

The authority will release the official mock test of JEE Main 2023 on the official website. Candidates have to open the website and click on the mock test link to attempt the JEE Main 2023 mock test. Candidates should keep in mind that without the credentials they will not be able to attend the JEE Main 2023 mock test. 

JEE Main 2023 Answer Key

The JEE Main answer key is an important and essential document for candidates as it contains all the correct options for the questions asked in the JEE Main exam paper. The JEE Main answer key 2023 for session 2 will be released by the exam authority, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 19, 2023 on their official website.

Students can go through the JEE Main answer key to check and compare their answers and generate a tentative score for the exam. These scores will be useful to estimate rank with the help of JEE Main Rank Predictor 2023. The provisional answer key is objected against the given option till April 21, 2023 till 5PM.

JEE Main 2023 Result

JEE Main 2023 exam result was published on April 28, 2023 for Session 2, Result date will be announced at appropriate time. The JEE Main result 2023 will be announced along with JEE Main topper list PDF. The rank card will consist of All India Rank and All India Category Rank. The authorities will not send the rank card or scorecard to the candidates. 

JEE Main 2023 Counseling

The schedule for JEE Main 2023 counseling or seat allocation process will be updated online on the official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in. At the time of counseling, the candidates have to fill the choices of branch and JEE Main participating institute.

The JEE Main 2023 seat allotment will be held by respective admission committee. The seats will be allotted to the candidates after the proper verification of documents. 

JEE Main 2023 Cut Off

The JEE Main 2023 cut-off will be of two types: admission cut-off and qualifying cut-off. Candidates who meet the qualifying cut-off should at least score the required number of marks to be eligible to compete in the JEE Main exam. Those candidates who achieve the minimum entrance cut-off marks are eligible to propose their candidature for admission to IITs. In the table given below, candidates can check expected cut-off for JEE Main 2023:

    No, there will be 2 attempts for JEE Main 2023. NTA will conduct the JEE Main Exam 2023 in two sessions which is likely in April and June.

  2. Is 75% criteria removed from JEE Main 2023?

    In 2022, 75% criteria has been removed from JEE Main but there is no such announcement for JEE Main 2023.
