Assam NEET Admission 2025 – The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) conducts Assam MBBS 2025 admission. The admission process would begin after the NEET result 2025. Qualified students can apply for 85% state quota medical seats through online counselling registration.

Thereafter, DME publishes a Assam NEET merit list. Only the shortlisted candidates would be able to participate in the counselling process. There are around four rounds of Assam MBBS counselling. Based on the choices made by the aspirants, availability of MBBS seats, and their NEET score, they are offered seats.

Assam NEET 2025 – Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for Assam MBBS 2025 exam, an aspirant has to clear the eligibility criteria for the same. Given below is the list of NEET eligibility criteria, an aspirant needs for Assam NEET 2025.

• An aspirant has to pass the NEET 2025 entrance exam.
• Aspirants should be a citizen of India.
• Aspirants’ parents should be permanent residents of Assam state at least for 20 years.
• As of December 31, 2025, an aspirant should be 17 years old.
• Aspirants must have passed the 12th standard with the science stream.
• For the general category, aspirants must obtain 60% in chemistry, biology, and physics while for the reserved category it’s 50%.

Apart from personal details such as the Name of the candidate, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Postal address, Mobile number, Email Id, Date of Birth, and Category of the candidate, aspirants have to also fill out their academic details in NEET form 2025.

DME releases the Assam MBBS Merit list based on marks obtained in the NEET entrance exam. NEET merit list 2025 contains the name, NEET score, percentile, NEET rank, and State Merit rank of all the shortlisted candidates who are permanent residents in the state. Candidates will be informed about the same based on their merit rank. 

Assam MBBS Counselling

The Directorate of Medical Education releases the MBBS 2025 application form on its official website. Only after monitoring the application form, the DME releases the list of candidates who meet the requirements. After that, they are called for a NEET 2025 counselling process to get admission to the MBBS course. The DME releases the final merit list on its official website.
