Assam NEET Admission 2024 – The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) conducts Assam MBBS 2024 admission. The admission process would begin after the NEET result 2024. Qualified students can apply for 85% state quota medical seats through online counselling registration.

Thereafter, DME publishes a Assam NEET merit list. Only the shortlisted candidates would be able to participate in the counseling process. There are around four rounds of Assam MBBS counseling. Based on the choices made by the aspirants, availability of MBBS seats, and their NEET score, they are offered seats.

Assam NEET 2024 – Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for Assam MBBS 2024 exam, an aspirant has to clear the eligibility criteria for the same. Given below is the list of NEET eligibility criteria, an aspirant needs for Assam NEET 2024.

• An aspirant has to pass the NEET 2024 entrance exam.
• Aspirants should be a citizen of India.
• Aspirants’ parents should be permanent residents of Assam state at least for 20 years.
• As of December 31, 2024, an aspirant should be 17 years old.
• Aspirants must have passed the 12th standard with the science stream.
• For the general category, aspirants must obtain 60% in chemistry, biology, and physics while for the reserved category it’s 50%.

Candidates will be informed about the same based on their merit rank.

The Directorate of Medical Education releases the MBBS 2024 application form on its official website. Only after monitoring the application form, the DME releases the list of candidates who meet the requirements. After that, they are called for a NEET 2024 counseling process to get admission to the MBBS course. The DME releases the final merit list on its official website.
