MBBS Entrance Exam
If aspirants want to secure a seat in MBBS, they have to qualify for the NEET exam with good marks. The NEET exam syllabus 2025 is based on the syllabus of classes 11th and 12th. As per the NEET exam pattern, aspirants need to answer 180 questions out of the 200 MCQ questions.
For the general category, the cutoff of NEET for MBBS aspirants is the 50th percentile while for the reserved category it’s the 40th percentile. Only students who can get NEET cutoff marks in the entrance exam can secure a seat for the MBBS course. AIIMS, JIPMER, and many other medical colleges grant admission based on results.
Once the aspirant has qualified for the NEET exam, they will be eligible for the state, central, and AIQ counseling process conducted for the admission process. The shortlisted students would be able to participate in the seat allotment process.
Students will register at the MCC portal and then the counselling process would proceed for the 15% AIQ, central universities, and ESIC institutes. After paying the NEET counseling fees and filling in the preference for their colleges and courses, MCC conducts the NEET UG seat allotment. Candidates then have to report to the allotted seat.

MBBS Syllabus in India
MBBS syllabus in India is divided into three subjects – Pre-clinical, Para-clinical, and Clinical. The first phase of Pre-clinical is a two-semester program that focuses on Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Bio-Physics, Biochemistry, and introduction to Community Medicine Humanities.
