MBBS Admission through NEET:
A student must first appear in the NEET exam following NEET 2025 registration. The NTA will then produce the results in the form of a scorecard. The MBBS admission through NEET 2025 is conducted for two seats, i.e., The All India Quota (AIQ) seats and State Quota Seats. The admission process for MBBS is quite similar to BDS admission through NEET.
- AIQ Seats: The admissions for 15% AIQ seats are conducted by The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Under this quota, 15% of the seats are filled by students from all over the country.
- State-Quota Seats: Whereas, 85% of the seats fall under the State Quota where students are granted admission in their domicile state. The admissions for 85% of MBBS seats in Government medical college are conducted by the respective states. The authorities also grant MBBS admission to private colleges.
